About Stephanie Barbour & Associates

My Background

Stephanie Barbour is an executive coach and leadership consultant who coaches executives, managers, and emerging leaders in mid-sized to Fortune 500 companies. Her coaching and training is distinguished by her application of neuroscience to leadership, her use of powerful somatic practices to generate purpose and presence, and her knowledge of systems dynamics which emphasizes the relationships within the whole organization.

Stephanie coaches, trains and facilitates from a deep vision of sustainability, while holding the belief that supporting the foundational value of human well-being leads to embracing the larger, more crucial value of creating well-being for all living beings and eco-systems.

Because organizations greatly impact global life-systems, her company’s mission is to facilitate wise, adept leadership by cultivating the skills, behaviors and qualities of courage essential for leaders to solve the world’s most profound social, economic and environmental challenges. Her ethos is shared by Jeffrey Hollender, Co-founder of Seventh Generation, who said:

“…the ultimate truth behind our work, [is] the knowledge that the environment is only temporarily entrusted to us and that our actions within and upon it affect its well-being far into the future.”

Stephanie and her experienced team of associates are aware that great leaders and their teams need more than noble visions. Leadership is an ongoing act of courage, risk-taking, exposure, energy and communication. Although thrilling at times, it can also be difficult and messy. Having lived and learned first-hand the challenges of leadership, Stephanie and her associates offer the following specialties to their clients:
